The Reason Behind Beauty and the Food

Some people are born with allergies. Some people develop them later in life. Some people grow out of their allergies. The lucky ones never get them at all.
I was born with an allergy to penicillin and perfume. Both of which make me break out in a rash. Nowadays, if put a little perfume on my wrists, I'm fine. But I still break out if someone washes my stuff in Mountain Spring Tide.
That was the extent of my "allergies" until now.....
30 years later, I'm suddenly on a tomato-free and dairy-free diet. Where did this come from?!?!
I've heard people say that every 7 years, your body changes based on the fact that all your cells replace in that time span. Ummmm, ok....... So apparently you can randomly develop allergies and intolerances that you've never had before.
I'm hoping this also means that they can GO AWAY. Maybe in 7 years? =p
No one I know has a food allergy that they have to eat around, so I wasn't sure how to go about doing it. There were so many times in the last few years dealing with this that I wanted to just give up.... I felt like going to a nutrition center and paying someone to make a meal plan for me daily. Or heck, since I work full time, someone to MAKE my meals daily. Oh to be rich and hire a chef. Well, that wasn't going to happen. Let me tell you, it is SO important to have a good support system. Once more people knew about how I was feeling, the more they wanted to help. Suddenly people were sending me recipes and giving me information. I'm still learning... it's a very slow process, trust me. I didn't even realize that A1 Steak Sauce had tomatoes in it until recently. So, if I accidentally post a recipe that has dairy/tomatoes in it, please tell me!
Beauty and the Food is just a place where I can write all this down. I'm sure there is someone else in the world like me who could use just as much help as I need. I have a horrible memory, so this is my collection of what I'm learning. Each new diary-free product I buy, I want to review it so I will know if I should buy it again. Dairy-free and tomato-free recipes are hard to find, so if I can make it simple by keeping them in one place for someone else- YAY, mission accomplished!
The beauty part of beauty and the food is just to remember that life is fun! I love make up and beauty products- why not talk about carrots AND mascara in the same place?!
Thank you for coming with me on this journey!
